Most of our work so far has been made possible by loanstock invested by members of the Coop. We have also received the following financial support since we started operating in 2009:

C-Change supported us to develop our business plan and incorporate as a Workers Co-operative in 2008-09.

Sussex Community Foundation supported us with a Grassroots Grant in 2009, enabling people on low incomes to get out on our Hobie Catamaran and fleet of kayaks.

The Learning Revolution funded a weekend in October 2009 for people on low incomes to have a go on our kayaks as well as learn about climbing, reading nautical charts and understanding tides.

The Lush Charity Pot supported our programme of kayak trainings in 2010, helping us offer free places to about 60 people on low incomes over 3 residential weekends.

Sport Relief, through Sussex Community Foundation, also supported us in 2010, enabling us to be able to offer kayak instructor training to increase our pool of trainers, and improve some of our equipment.

We have been lucky enough to be supported twice now by the EU Lifelong Learning Programme through their Grundtvig Learner Workshops. In April 2010 we ran Skills to Sea for 20 EU residents on the Helford River near Falmouth, Cornwall. We are currently organising Budget Boat Maintenance for another 20 people this March in Chichester Harbour.
